Shimoga Hills and Adventure Spots

Agumbe Hill is the one of the most visited spots in Shimoga. Many come here to see sunset; the sun takes different colors while it sets behind the hills of the western ghats.

Kodachadri Hills is popular with trekkers and nature holiday seekers. The other scenic hills here include Kundadri, Kavaledurga and Chibbalegudda.

The most prominent hills and adventure tourism destinations in Shimoga include:

Agumbe

Agumbe is located toward the west of Shimoga city is at a distance of 90 kms. The altitude here is 826 Meters, and the place is famous for its sunsets.

Kodachadri Hills

Kodachadri is 115 km. from Shivamogga city. It is at an altitude of 1411 ft.

This hill station provides great views of the forests of the Western Ghats in Shivamogga and Dakshina Kannada districts.

This is a great getaway during weekends.  Trek to Kodachadri is a favourite amongst adventure seekers.

Kavaledurga

Kavaledurga is a magnificent fort located on a hill at an altitude of 5056 feet.

Kundadri

Kundadri has unique rock formations and has good views.

Chibbalagudde (Thirthahalli)
