Reaching Udupi - Getting to Udupi is easy by road, train, bus, car or air (via Mangalore)

By Air 

Nearest airport is Mangalore (60 kms). From there you can hire a cab or take a bus to Udupi. Prepaid taxis can be booked from the counter located inside the arrival terminal at around Rs 800. Time for travel takes about 1.5 hours. You can also move away from the airport to Mangalore Bus Stand or Railway station and then hail a taxi as it is much cheaper outside the airport

By Bus

This place is on the National Highway NH 17 and easily reachable by road from Mangalore, Kundapur Karwar etc., as it are well connected. Regular government and private bus services are available. Other significant roads include the State Highways to Karkala, Dharmasthala, Shimoga and Sringeri.

By Train 

The nearest railway station is Udupi Railway Station on the Konkan Railway.  It is connected to and Mangalore. Major trains including Rajadhani Express stop at Udupi Railway Station. However, there is no direct connection to Bangalore. A night train is available from Mangalore to Bangalore.
