Old Goa

Old Goa was once the capital of the Portuguese and was supposed to look like the Portuguese capital of Lisbon with its magnificent churches, cathedrals and convents. Old Goa is located about 10kms from the Goan capital city of Panaji.

Many of the monuments in Old Goa are maintained by the Archeological survey of India. You could spend an entire day exploring the ancient churches and monuments here.
