National Parks of Karnataka

Karnataka has 5 national parks along with 21 wildlife sanctuaries. Well known among them are Bandipur Langur seen in Bandipur National ParkLangur seen in Bandipur National ParkNational Park in Mysore District, Bannerghatta National Park in Bangalore (Bengaluru) district, Nagarhole National Park in Kodagu district, Kudremukh National Park in Dakshina Kannada and Chickmagalur district, Dandeli & Anshi National Park in Uttara Kannada district.

The Bandipur National Park, along with the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu and the Thekkadi Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala is home to a large population of Asian Elelphants.

This region is also home to the Tiger, Bison, Sambar (Deer) Black Buck, Flying Foxes, Langurs and other mammals.
