Murudeshwar temple and beach

Murudeshwar is a town in the Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada District in the state of Karnataka.
"Murudeshwara" is another name of the Hindu god Shiva. Famous for the world's tallest Shiva statue, this beach town lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea and is also famous for the Murudeshwar Temple.

How to reach Murudeshwar 

Murudeshwar is close to the towns of Honnavar and Bhatkal. It is easily accessible by road from Karwar, Mangalore, Udupi, Manipal and Bangalore.

There are no direct trains to Murudeshwar. You can alight at Karwar and take a bus or a cab to reach here. From Bangalore, Murudeshwar is about 450 Kms.
