Lotus Mahal, Hampi

Kamala (Lotus) Mahal is believed to have been used by female guards of Hampi and the architecture is based on South Indian and Mughal styles.

On the outskirts of the royal complex, you can see the special enclosure, where the two-story Indo-Saracenic pavilion known as Kamala (Lotus) Mahal features massive pillars, delicate arches, and fine structural ornamentation.

There is an entrance fee of Rs 5 to this monument. You can visit Lotus Mahal on your way back from seeing the Vittala temple and the main Virupaksha temple.
