Little Andaman Island is located in South Andamans, about 120 Kms by sea from Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
This island is mainly inhabited by the local Onge tribes and to a lesser extent, the Nicobarese tribes. Their numbers are dwindling and you can find them around the village in Little Andaman. Though they have been open to modern civilization, it is advisable not interact with them.
The Tsunami that hit Andaman in December 2004 ravaged most of Little Island but it still retains some of its past beauty.
There are many scenic beaches all around this island, the most beautiful among them being the Butler Bay Beach. You can find visitors camping at the Butler Bay Beach. There is also a beautiful waterfall called Panchavati.
The journey from Port Blair by boat takes about 8 hours. Hut bay is the point where the boat stops. The view of the beach and break water is worth photographing.
Accommodation is available at the APWD guest house, which is about 3kms from Hut Bay. Butler Bay is about 15kms from Hut Bay. You'll have to book for the rooms at the APWD office at Port Blair.
