The Katchal Island is a developed island and a total expanse of about 175 sq.kms 
with rubber plantations all around the island. The beach here is extremely beautiful. Katchal is 425 kms. by sea.

Katchal is a tiny island in the Nicobar group of Islands in the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar. It was this island which heralded the new millennium with the first sunrise on 1st January 2000. This island has beautiful beaches at East bay, Jhula and West bay.
