You can reach Pondicherry, from Chennai, by National Highways NH-45 or by East Coast Road (ECR).

The nearest airport is Chennai (Madras)- 160 kms. Flights connect to major cities in India and directly to destinations in Europe, Asian, Middle East and the US.

Direct flights from Europe are by British Airways, Lufthansa and Sabena. Other airlines fly to Mumbai (Bombay) and New Delhi and will arrange a connecting domestic flight to Chennai.

From nearest railway station Villupuram (32 kms) connected directly to Chennai (Madras). Connections to other towns, such as Madurai, Coimbatore, Rameshwaram, Bangalore and Trivandrum directly are also available from this junction.
