Hampi tourist attractions: Hampi is known for its historical monuments and ruins that date back from 500 years to 1000 years old. The main sights to see are these groups of temples and monuments spread over a large area.
Hampi is protected as a 'world heritage site' and is protected by the Indian Government. Around the entire town, you can see ruins and dilapidated monuments everywhere and there is a history attached to each one of them. Government run buses operate from 8 Am in the morning until 6 pm in the evening. The state tourism department also has a guided tour bus that will take you around Hampi
You need to allocate atleast 2 days to see around the place. You can also head to Hospet and visit he breathtaking TungaBhadra dam site.
