It shouldn't take much longer than 4 hours to cruise the entire coastline of Goa. There are many transportation options - by bus, rickshaws or renting motorcycles and cars.
Goa's public transport largely consists of privately operated buses linking the major towns to rural areas. Government run buses is maintained by the Kadamba Transport Corporation. You can also use the local private buses to travel to different beaches in Goa. The fares can vary. A typical bus ride will cost anywhere from Rs.4 to 6. It is better to check with local fellow passengers about the fare and the destination if you are not familiar with the distance or the place.
Hired forms of transport include un-metered taxis, auto rickshaws and a unique form of transport in Goa is the Motorcycle-taxi which transports a single pillion rider, at fares that are usually negotiated prior or after the journey.
In some places in Goa, there are river crossings which are serviced by the ferry boats, operated by the river navigation departments.
Lot of tourists rent gearless scooters, motorbikes, jeeps. The rental company doesn't provide helmets (for two wheelers) and it is up to you to look for one if you want one. One can get these scooters or motorcycles from garages or from people standing on the road next to these scooters and rentals per day are between Rs.150 - Rs. 250 a day. For jeeps, the rentals are around Rs.750 per day.
