About Dandeli
Sunset at the Kali riverDandeli City is located at the bank of River Kali in Uttara Kannada District at a distance of 117 kms from Karwar ,75 km from Hubli, 57 kms from Dharwad, 481 Kms from Bangalore and about 125Kms from Goa. Kali River is the main water source.
Dandeli is known for its rich greenery and also wildlife. It is said that it had a rail head built by the British known to be the oldest and but now it doesn't exist.
Tourism is gaining importance since white water rafting was introduced on the river Kali.

How to reach Dandeli
Dandeli is well connected to Bangalore (Bengaluru), Mumbai (Bombay), Goa, Belgaum, Karwar and Dharwad, Hubli by road. There is regular bus service to Dandeli every day.

Best time to Visit
The best season to visit this place is between October and May. January to May & October to December are peak seasons. Mid June to Mid September is considered off season due to monsoon rains.
