Cubbon ParkThe Cubbon Park was created by Richard Sankey in 1864 and it's famous for the bamboo grove or whistling grove as it is called. The park blends with natural and artificial landscaping. Cubbon Park is green & thick vegetative cover almost in the centre of the city spread over many hectares.
On the periphery of the park is the High Court of Karnataka. A two storied building of stone and brick, painted red, Attara Kacheri literally means "The eighteen offices or departments".
They originally comprise the general and revenue secretariat of the state government. It now houses the High Court of Karnataka. .
Inside the park, Public Central Library is located and has a rich treasure of books.
Bangalore High CourtVenkatappa Art Gallery, Visveshwaraya Technological and Industrial Museum, Karnataka Government Museum and Aquarium are inside the park area and can be approached through Kasturba Gandhi Road. On the side adjoining junction of Queen's Road and Mahatma Gandhi Road, is the Children's Park & Toy Train.
Opposite to the High Court is the seat of the State Government, the regal and imposing Vidhana Soudha.
Nearby, you can find the Jawarharlal Nehru Planetarium and the Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain. The Planetarium, with a dome of fifteen meters in diameter, has a seating capacity of 225. It also has an observatory with a professional six inch code refractor telescope.

How to reach Cubbon Park:
Cubbon Park is about 8 to 10 kilometers from Bangalore Bus stand and railway station. An Auto Rickshaw to Cubbon Park will cost you between Rs 60 to Rs 80.
There are several buses available from Bangalore City Bus stand and Shivajinagar Bus Stand.
