Beaches in Karnataka

Explore the coastal regions in Karnataka with its famous and not so famous beaches. There are a few beaches which are emerging as alternatives to popular spots like Goa.

Karwar, in Uttara Kannada (North Canara) district is an underrated destination dotted with serene beaches and beautiful seas. Gokarna, close to Karwar, is also getting famous with trekkers and alternative beach seekers with its isolated beaches.

A feature of the beaches in Uttara Kannada district is that on one side you can see the mighty sea while on the other is the lust forests of the Western Ghats.

Along the coast of Dakshina Kannada (South Canara) district, you can find numerous beaches in Mangalore, Malpe, Maravanthe, Bhatkal, Murudeshwar, Kumta and other smaller beaches.
