Arambol Beach is both rocky and sandy, with a nice stretch where you can climb and find a nice view, and small altars.

Arambol can be approached by a road which winds across the lovely plateau and down through the green cover of cashew orchards. The beach is an uninterrupted and stunning stretch of curving sand, still unspoilt in comparison to other beaches.
The beach is quiet on weekdays. But on weekends you can find a large crowd of local picnickers gather here for holidaying.
The villagers are friendly and the place is less crowded allowing you to have a close experience of local life and culture. There is a relaxed environment and peace and tranquility.
This attracts many peace-loving tourists from other beaches nearby. The second beach is even more secluded and little used.
There are sulphur pits and freshwater lakes that you can use for swimming. Great to try some paragliding. Nirvana Adventures, a private firm from Mumbai holds camps at times.
You can try having mud bath at Arambol and smear your skin with theraputic mud. Even if you question its healing properties, it may still be a fun to relax in a different style though.
Along the stretches of sand, the path leads to awesome cliffs and a small freshwater lake extends along the bottom of the valley into a thick green forest.
Fed by hot springs, the lake is lined with sticky sulphurous mud. Many claim that smearing yourself with this mud is beneficial to both mind and body
You can take one of the many buses that regularly ply between Arambol and Mapusa and Arambol and Chopdem.
It takes around 40 minutes to reach Arambol from Chopdem for a distance of 12 km. On market days you can take boats to Anjuna. To move locally, you can hire taxis or bikes which are easily available
